Common Q's

The recent economic crisis has enabled me to figure what it is that i wish to do for the rest of my life. My goal is to major in finance. Whether it's to be a personal financial advisor or similiar i have yet to figure out. Stocks, the preditions and guts involved(to take a chance with your money) is exciting and to do it and elp others would not be a bad job. On top of this, these goals will hopefully get me somwhere in 10 years time. My goal would be to work on the floor of the NYSE. Nothing would be better, the adrenaline pumping, excitement building as you're yelling and trading, running from one end of the exchange to the other, it's exhilirating. This however would not be me in ten years. This is because the resulting stress from working at the exchange cause the average span to be five years before they quit. After the exchange i would either work at a company in the financial department or start a Berkshire Hathaway style corporation depending on my success in stocks. Being a PFA I would consider settling for a job less than that I dream to have. CEO of a company, raking the dollars, being an ivestor the dream for ten years from now. The real question is achieving this goal. Being a successful trador would enable a person to be a Hedgefund manager, head of a financial sector, or even being a CEO. The goal like everything else is to start small, this would be a trader on the NYSE or being a PFA. Then create a name for myself and from their a career can take off. Prove yourself and promotions and better opppurtunities will follow. The reality of being a CEO is doubtful in ten years. A Hedgefund manager or floor trader is definitely possible, we will have to wait and see.
